Born and raised on the west coast, Joanna finds her inspiration in her surroundings. Designing and making jewelry has always been an important part of her adult life. All work is done locally using the ancient process of lost-wax casting. She works primarily with locally sourced recycled, re-refined pure silver, as well as 14k gold, bronze, vermeil and semi-precious stones. Her work has been sold in over 100 galleries throughout Canada and the US.
Making my jewellery is detailed and meditative work. Each piece is a tiny sculpture. Many of my designs are born of lived experiences, each piece representing the essence of the thing that sparked its creation. My happiest moments are hearing from people that my work has become their adornment signature.
